Having trouble viewing the video? Click here to download it.

You thought that everything in your house was turned off, that your energy bill was safe. You thought wrong. Phantom power is the electric power used by devices in your home when they're switched off or in standby mode. It's on the loose, wasting energy and attacking your budget for up to $120 a year.

But you don't have to stand by and let it happen. With these devices, you can stop phantom power from haunting your home:

  • Advanced power strips automatically cut power to devices that are not in use.
  • Timer outlets turn off lights and plugged in devices based on a set schedule.
  • Smart plugs let you turn devices on and off remotely, or control them on a schedule.
  • Regular outlets allow you to easily unplug any device, such as a charger, when you're done using it.

Phantom power may have an in, but with these devices you can cut it out.
